3 More Amazing Overnight Oats Recipes

Okay, so everyone is back at work now after the summer break, and it’s time to get organised about breakfast again. No more lazy, crumpet-making mornings, unfortunately. Here are 3 more delicious overnight oats combinations to kick-start the year. Check out my Apple & Peanut Overnight Oats recipe as well, if you haven’t seen it or overnight oats is new to you. Make a few jars at the same time, and keep them in the fridge for 2-3 days of breakfasts. Such a great time and effort saver!

1. Strawberry & Macadamia Overnight Oats

1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup strawberry yoghurt
1 tsp vanilla essence (or use vanilla yoghurt)
1/2 tsp honey
2-3tsp macadamia nut butter
5 fresh strawberries, quartered
Macadamia nuts, chopped roughly

2. Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Overnight Oats

1/3 cups oats
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup full cream yoghurt
3 tsp cream cheese
2-3 tsp lemon curd
1/4 cup blueberries

3. Pecan & Banana Overnight Oats

1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup plain yoghurt
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tsp honey
1 banana, sliced
pecan nuts, roughly chopped

Basic method: You need at least a 350ml jar with a screw lid that seals tightly. But you could use a bowl or a Tupperware. The process is quite simple: the night before, add all the ingredients to your jar (except the nuts). Stir till combined, close the lid and put it in the fridge. In the morning, sprinkle the nuts on the top and ta-da! Breakfast is served. You can eat it as is (delicious), or heat it up. If you’re a thirsty morning person, add milk like you would to cereal. Enjoy!
